A Master thesis in the Faculty of Science at the University of Kufa for the student Fatima Abbas discussed the importance of trace elements (iron, zinc, copper and nickel) as well as radon in the early diagnosis of lung cancer. The aim of the thesis was to develop a mechanism to utilize physical devices such as atomic absorption devices and nuclear detector technology in the early diagnosis of lung cancer. The thesis included the study of types of radioactive contamination and radioactive and chemical methods in the treatment of lung cancer and the study of the impact of elements and measures their concentrations in the blood. The thesis recommended extending the use of various physical techniques in the early detection of lung cancer and studying the possibility of detecting other types of cancer using these techniques.
