The Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science at the University of Kufa held a seminar on the preparation and spectroscopic study of copper, cobalt and gold complexes consistent with new azo compounds.
The seminar included a lecture given by Dr. Widad Ibrahim Yahya, which included how to prepare a new azo compound with its complexes derived from dihydroxyaphthalene by spectroscopic methods such as infrared, ultraviolet and nuclear magnetic resonance.
The seminar dealt with the most important research results that proved the high effectiveness of the prepared compound on various types of fungi such as the Candida fungus.
