The Effect of Focal Error on The Point Spread Function for Hexagonal Aperture

Abstract. The point spread function was derived for an optical system with single
hexagonal aperture, and the effect of focal error on this function was studied, and
the results showed a clear increase in the amount of central intensity when
compared with an optical system with a single circular aperture, and this indicates
an improvement in the optical system, which is reflected in the image quality.
