Preparing a local vaccine for human respiratory viruses in Iraq, Assist Prof. Dr. Fadia Mahdi Muslim Al-Amidi

Preparing a local vaccine for viruses that affect the respiratory system is
important for all age groups, and the goal is to control the infection and prevent its spread, knowing that many viruses that infect the upper and lower respiratory tract are more than approximately 200 viruses for humans,
especially in the winter and early spring, and the reason for choosing this address is for the following reasons:
1- Samples from all age groups are isolated from Iraq
2- The local vaccine is more efficient than the imported one because the
isolates were taken from Iraq and has a lower cost than the imported one.
3- There is no vaccine prepared for all viruses that affect the upper and
lower respiratory tracts.
4- Viruses that affect the respiratory system are either seasonal or epidemic,
where viral infections are not treated with antibiotics only through the
vaccine that prevents infection and is given before the start of winter for the
purpose of controlling and preventing infection.
5- The large spread of viral infections in all countries and all countries have
research centers specialized for the purpose of preparing vaccines, while in
Iraq there is not available, with note that local vaccines for the seasonal
influenza virus for humans and bird flu for humans have been prepared by us
and officially registered in the Standardization and Quality Control Center in
the Ministry of Planning and the patent number for seasonal influenza is
4903 on 13-4-2017, and the second, with the number 4904, on 13-4-2017.
Abstract: Preparing the local vaccine for respiratory viruses is important for
the rapid spread of infection, as happened now in the emerging corona virus
and its rapid spread in the world.
