A master’s thesis in the Faculty of Science discusses the immunological criteria of COVID-19 patients with diabetes

A master’s thesis in the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science
discussed the assessment of immunological parameters for patients
infected with Covid-19 virus and suffering from diabetes.

The thesis submitted by the student Zainab Muhammad Madfoun
included measuring the levels of the immune response and a number of
physiological criteria in patients.
And the results proved that the levels of D.dimer, which affects the
clotting process, are more in people with Covid 19 and diabetes, while
iron levels are high in patients with Covid 19 and do not suffer from
diabetes.
The thesis also concluded that advancing age increases the chance of
infection compared to young ages, and that males are more susceptible to
infection than females.
