A PhD thesis in the Department of Chemistry examines the spectroscopic estimation of some antiviral drugs

A doctoral thesis in the Department of Chemistry examined the estimation of some drugs used in the treatment of viruses by different organic reagents to determine the quality of the product and its pharmacological value.

The thesis submitted by Riyad Radi Muhammad, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muthanna Saleh Mashkour, aimed to develop a number of spectroscopic methods for use in the estimation of some antiviral drugs using the Follen reagent, and to determine the optimal methods and its application to a number of pharmaceutical products.

The thesis included the use of the nitrogenous method to estimate these drugs, determine the optimal conditions for them, find their application and compare them with standard methods.

The results of the thesis reached to obtain spectroscopic methods characterized by ease, speed, accuracy and control to estimate the products of some drugs to determine the quality of the drug and the best country of origin for its production
