Master’s thesis in the Department of Laboratory Investigations on some biomarkers in leukemia

A master’s thesis in the Department of Laboratory Investigations
examined the study of the effect of some physiological releases and
their relationship with the progression of acute myelogenous
leukemia.
The thesis, presented by Esraa Samir Mahna under the supervision
of Prof. Dr. Ekhlas Ali Hussein, aims to study the biomarkers of
interleukin-37 and interleukin-6 in patients with acute myelogenous
leukemia and their relationship to liver and kidney functions.
The results of the study showed significant differences in interleukin-
37 and interleukin-6 in patients and their association with
physiological changes in the liver and kidney, which enables them to
be used as biomarkers to measure the severity and progress of the
disease.
