A master’s thesis in the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science at the University of Kufa examined a molecular study of the genera of multiple antibiotic-resistant Pantoia bacteria isolated from different clinical samples.
The thesis, presented Zainab Khalil Abdel Hassan, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Zahraa Yousef Khudair, aimed to isolate and diagnose Pantoia bacteria from different clinical samples and study its resistance to many antibiotics.
The thesis reached the isolation and diagnosis of Pantoia bacteria from different clinical samples in Najaf hospitals, and studied the bacteria’s possession of protease enzymes, gelatin, Dnase and beta-lactamases that cause virulence factors and their constituents, and a study of sensitivity examination of isolated bacteria to many antibiotics.
