Master’s thesis on designing a sensor system for iron determination using mobile phones

A master’s thesis in the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science at the University of Kufa investigated the design of a fine fluid flow sensing system using a mobile phone as a detector.

The thesis presented by Fatima Abdel-Wahhab Kadhim, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Abdel-Kazim Hussein, aimed to design a new sensor system by using the mobile phone as a detector and by using the micro-fluid flow system.

The results of the thesis led to the design of a new microfluidic flow system for the determination of iron in laboratory prepared samples and in pharmaceutical materials using a mobile phone as a detector. The results also showed the quality and accuracy of the new method compared to the traditional spectroscopic method.
