The Faculty of Science discusses a PhD thesis on the relationship of some immunophysiological parameters in women and thyroid disorder.

A PhD thesis in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, investigated the evaluation of some immunophysiological parameters in women with hypothyroidism.

The thesis submitted by Zahraa Shaker Mahmoud, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Haider Saleh Jaffat, aimed to study the relationship between some modern physiological and immunological parameters and the functional hormonal disorder of the thyroid gland within a sample of women who suffer from a defect in that gland.

The results of the thesis indicated that there is an association and effect of thyroid hormone disorders with those parameters, which may interfere with other body functions and thus predict pathological and systemic complications.
