A scientific symposium on the epidemiology of some common diseases between humans and animals

 

The Department of Biology held a scientific symposium entitled (Epidemiology of some common diseases between humans and animals.(

The symposium aimed to shed light on the most important insect, bacterial and viral vectors that cause epidemic diseases in humans that are transmitted by domestic and wild animals, and the most important methods used in diagnosing them, and how to reduce these diseases.

The symposium included a lecture on the application of CRISPR-CASg technology in disease transmitters control by Prof. Dr. Ma’allah Turki Alwan, and a lecture on reviewing the most important epidemic diseases in society by Dr. Suhad Hamid, and a lecture on parasitic diseases and their epidemiology by Dr. Sakina Jabbar.

The symposium recommended the importance of modern partial methods used in eliminating or reducing epidemic diseases, limiting the breeding of domestic animals in homes and preventing children from dealing with them after ensuring their safety, with the use of periodic examinations of those animals that are bred at home.
