The Faculty of Science holds a symposium on molecular analysis and its applications in the medical field

 

The Department of Biology held a scientific symposium entitled Molecular Analysis and its Applications in the Medical Field.

The symposium aimed to learn about advanced modern technologies in the early detection of diseases, especially hereditary and cancerous diseases, and the detection of genetic variation in individuals and its applications in the medical field, and the use of molecular markers in the diagnosis of diseases.

The symposium included a lecture by Dr. Nofal Hussein Khudair on molecular markers in predictive medicine, and a lecture by Dr. Hossam Rahim from Maysan College of Medicine, on advanced molecular analysis in medicine.

The symposium recommended the establishment of centers for medicine and predictive analysis to detect a person’s susceptibility to certain diseases, and the establishment of workshops and advanced courses in molecular analysis, and the teaching of advanced techniques in molecular analysis.
