The Department of Environment and Pollution held a seminar on the relationship between oxidative stress and its relationship to exposure to heavy metals in the environment and the enhanced role of vitamin C and zinc in reducing the health damage resulting from environmental pollution with heavy metals.
The seminar included a lecture by researcher Zainab Salem Alwan, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Afiaa Sabah Nasser, in which she dealt with the most important ways of environmental pollution with heavy metals, including cadmium, and methods of treating this pollution, which in turn leads to oxidative stress, and the most important alternative ways to reduce the health and environmental damage of heavy metals, including the use of vitamin C With zinc due to their important role and synergistic action.
