A study on virulence factors in Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria

The Department of Pathological Analysis discussed a master’s thesis on the isolation and diagnosis of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria from patients with burns, presented by MSc student Ali Karim Jassim under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Aliwi Hussein.

The study aims to know the virulence factors and their genes, detect the resistance of Pseudomonas bacteria to antibiotics, and reveal the ability of zirconium nanoparticles to inhibit Pseudomonas bacteria.

The results of the thesis showed the ability of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria to produce virulence factors and contain the genes for those factors and their resistance to antibiotics. The results also showed the ability of zirconium nanoparticles to inhibit Pseudomonas bacteria
