A master’s thesis in the Department of Chemistry examined the magnetism of complexes of transition elements, presented by MSc Ghadeer Abbas Nehme, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Karar Abdel Ali Saeed.
The thesis aims to study possible strategies for manufacturing the best molecular magnets by studying the molecules that act as molecular magnets, meaning that the molecule itself acts as an independent magnet.
The results led to an explanation of the origin of coupling in magnetism when metals are linked to a single electron-bearing molecule, the type of magnet will be greatly improved, which contributes to the creation of highly efficient molecular magnets
