The Department of Pathological Analysis held a seminar on the role of short-chain fatty acids in human health and diseases.
The seminar included a lecture by Dr. Bassam Karim Khudair, in which he discussed the importance of the role of short-chain fatty acids, which are produced in the intestines as a result of eating vegetables rich in fiber, due to beneficial bacteria, and their basic physiological roles in maintaining other body systems, such as the intestines, preventing blood diseases, and maintaining mental activity when the concentration is high. These fatty acids are within the required level.
