Department vision

The Department of Laboratory Investigations represents an effective way to meet the community’s need of specialized cadres in support of various health, research and educational institutions, in addition to investing the capabilities of lecturers and students in research, theoretical and applied scientific studies, undergraduate and postgraduate, as well as training, awareness, health and scientific mobilization within future foundations consistent with recent developments through acquiring high technical and professional expertise and exploiting it scientifically and academically according to an advanced methodological perspective

 

Department message

The Laboratory Investigations Department was established according to the community’s need for specialized service cadres with scientific specifications and modern technical standards and preparing those cadres to work in various health and research institutions as well as support for the private sector, noting that the department has a clear future message with a high ambition that seeks to provide the best services and develop the teaching staff and students in the fields of scientific and cognitive research and the opening of postgraduate studies to increase the university’s specialized cadres as well as community services and broaden the horizons of scientific cooperation with the corresponding departments and relevant institutions in a way that achieves continuous liberality and interaction with high-quality .

 

Department Objectives:

Work to prepare specialized scientific and technical professional cadres to work in hospital laboratories, Ministry of Health divisions, public and private laboratories and other relevant departments to serve the community:

• Developing the research, scientific and technical capabilities of teachers and graduates, keeping abreast of recent developments, and urging the use of advanced methods in the fields of specialization.

• Work to establish strong scientific and research relations jointly with the corresponding departments at the university and other universities by participating in seminars, courses and training workshops and investing them in developing capabilities as well as mutual benefit in the service of the public interest.

• Providing scientific, technical and research consultations to contribute to solving some scientific and specialized problems that some relevant institutions need.

• The department aspires to achieve the desired future goals by culminating its scientific career through graduate studies in the department.

About the department:

The Laboratory Investigations Department was established in the academic year 2007/2008, when (54) students were admitted to the first year, and the first class of students graduated in the academic year 2010/2011. The department awards a bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Investigations sciences. The department is currently one of the important departments in the Faculty of Science.

The department has well-furnished classrooms equipped with display screens. As for the scientific laboratories, they are equipped with the latest equipment, tools, and laboratory materials from well-known international occasions to cover the application side of the theoretical materials given to students at various academic levels. It is also the appropriate place to conduct scientific research for the department’s professors and complete graduation research for students of the end years.

The department contains several specialized laboratories that have been newly equipped from well-known global origins to cover the practical and applied side of the theoretical materials given to students in various stages until the curriculum is completed where the laboratories support the undergraduate students as well as the department’s teaching to conduct scientific research as well as graduate research for students at final year, including:
