FOS Member Wins two gold medals at the Patent Fair at the University of Sulaymaniyah

Dr. Fadia Mahdi Al-Amidi, a lecturer at the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Kufa, received two gold medals in a conference and the second patent exhibition held by the Lebanese Inventors Forum at the University of Sulaymaniyah for the patent of invention of a domestic vaccine for the H5N1 bird flu virus, and a local vaccine for seasonal influenza virus in humans. Dr. Fadia Mahdi said that the exhibition witnessed the participation of 122 patents from 14 Iraqi universities and provinces, adding that she had won two gold medals after the Patent Assessment Committee confirmed the participation of the patent in the treatment of bird flu and seasonal flu in humans.
