Faculty of Science at the University of Kufa organizes scientific seminars on antibiotics.

The faculty of sciences at the University of Kufa held two scientific seminars on the indiscriminate use of antibiotics and antibiotic resistance in the presence of a group of researchers and students. The Dean of the faculty, Prof. Dr. Hussein Al-Shujairi, stressed that the symposium titled “Random Use of Antibiotics” which organized by the Department of Biology discussed certain topics, the most important of which are the effects of the indiscriminate use of antibiotics on health and the most important antimicrobial resistance genes and their spread in Iraq. Al-Shujairi added that the symposium titled (the phenomenon of the vital resistance) that organized by the Department of Laboratory Investigations dealt with several axes, the most important of which is the concept of antibiotics, classification and resistance of microorganisms of antibiotics and the spread of antibiotic resistance.
