The Department of Geology at the Faculty of Science at the University of Kufa held a seminar on pollution in the marshes of Iraq in the presence of a group of professors and researchers. The seminar included a lecture by Assistant Professor Faris Nasser
which included the review of the most important marshes located in central and southern Iraq. The seminar addressed most of the pollutants of the Iraqi Marshlands, such as heavy elements of all kinds and hydrocarbons found in oil derivatives and organisms.
